Hong Kong — Vietnamese modern art headlined Bonhams' Modernity Curated sale on 31 March in Hong Kong, with new auction records set for Tran Luu Hau and Nguyen Trung — a testament to Bonhams' ongoing role in promoting and shaping the Southeast Asian art market.

Tran Luu Hau's Ancient Street in Hanoi realized HK$1,147,000, nearly three times its low estimate (Est. HK$400,000–600,000), setting a new auction record for the artist. Bonhams now holds the top seven auction prices for Tran Luu Hau. Additionally, all four works by the artist offered in the sale surpassed their high estimates.

Nguyen Trung's By the Ocean achieved HK$575,500 — over three times its low estimate (Est. HK$180,000–300,000) — also setting a new auction record for the artist.

Other Notable Results:
Modern Chinese artists delivered solid performances, with Ju Ming's Taichi Series – Cloud Hands fetching HK$1,147,000 and Liu Kuo-Sung's Tibet Series No. 202 achieving HK$829,500 — both selling above their high estimates.
