It is with deep sadness that Mr. François-Henri Pinault has learnt of the death of Alexander McQueen. Alexander McQueen was one of the greatest designers of his generation. His genius, sometimes provocative, but admired and commended by everyone, constantly brought new perspectives. He generated emotion at the release of each one of his collections. As a visionary and avant-gardist, his creations were inspired by both tradition and ultra-modernity, making them timeless. His unprecedented collaboration with Puma placed, and shared, his creative talent with a great number of people. Beyond his capacity as a creator, François-Henri Pinault would like to pay homage to a friend for whom he has respect, admiration and great fondness.
